Karte ver­klei­nert und ver­än­dert nach Jan Ahl­richs; Text, Quel­len und Li­te­ra­tur­nach­weise eben­falls Jan Ahlrichs.

Auf die­ser Karte sind sämt­li­che Fund­stel­len mit Ne­an­der­ta­ler­kno­chen bzw. Zäh­nen der­sel­ben ein­ge­tra­gen. Es wird da­bei zwi­schen Ante-Neandertalern und “Klas­si­schen Ne­an­der­ta­lern” un­ter­schie­den. Au­ßer­dem wur­den die Fund­plätze mar­kiert, an de­nen mtDNA von Ne­an­der­ta­lern ge­won­nen wer­den konnte.
